Alpine Elf Endurance Team : 2023 FIA World Endurance Championship

Season after season, Alpine strengthens its racing involvement. With its sights firmly set on its future in the top-fliight category, the brand is reaffirming its passion for competition this year by entering two prototypes in the FIA World Endurance Championship for its tenth consecutive campaign in the discipline.

Alpine has been among the elite for the past two years, winning at Sebring and Monza, scoring an outright podium at Le Mans and finishing runner-up in the 2022 World Endurance Championship. While developing its future LMDh to compete in the Endurance press class, Alpine will remain on the racetrack in 2023 with the Signatech team under the Alpine Elf Endurance Team banner.

2023 PROGRAM

For this transitional year, the team will return to LMP2, a category it knows well, having won four times (two in ELMS, two in FIA WEC) and the 24 Hours of Le Mans in 2016, 2018 and 2019.

After representing the brand between 2017 and 2020, the Alpine A470 emerged from a more than 800-day 'hibernation' at the pre-season test in Portimão. The two prototypes entered will also run the traditional n°35 and n°36 to celebrate Alpine's tenth anniversary of its Endurance racing return and participation in the 24 Hours of Le Mans' Centenary race.

The n°36 car will feature an all-French trio with Matthieu Vaxiviere, joined by his countrymen Julien Canal and Charles Milesi, who have already demonstrated their experience and speed in LMP2. Meanwhile, André Negrão continues his career with Les Bleus. Mexican Memo Rojas and Alpine Academy graduate Olli Caldwell complete the driver line-up in the n°35 sister car. These two crews has been carefully structured in line with the regulations requiring at least one "Silver" driver entered in each car in LMP2.

Young hopeful Reshad De Gerus completes the team as the reserve driver for the 2023 season while Nicolas Lapierre, a key figure in the Alpine endurance adventure, will focus on the development of the Alpine LMDh, designed by Alpine Racing.
