Jean Rédélé 100-year anniversary: Dieppe dons Alpine colours in honour of its founder

  • On May 28th and 29th, 2022, Alpine enthusiasts will gather in Dieppe to mark 100 years since the birth of Jean Rédélé.
  • 750 of the expected 1,000 Alpine cars are already enrolled.
  • Alpine will take part in the event to excite the crowds with a few surprises and exclusive novelties to pay homage to the brand’s founder.
  • The Alpine A110 will be unveiled in a special livery in tribute to its founder.

1,000 ALPINE FOR THE FOUNDER’S 100th BIRTHDAY

Jean Rédélé, founder of the Alpine brand, would have turned 100 this year. As a way of paying tribute to the man, a large gathering is going to be held in Dieppe, which is home to the brand's historic industrial site, the Manufacture Alpine Jean Rédélé de Dieppe, recently renamed at the instigation of Luca de Meo, CEO Renault Group.

On May 28th and 29th, 2022, an expected 1,000 Alpine of all generations will take to the lawns of the seaside city of Dieppe.

Participants and visitors will be taken on a journey through the major milestons of the brand’s history. The event will include an exhibition of Jean Rédélé’s iconic vehicles, belongings, and personal memorabilia, as well as an Alpine parade through the streets of Dieppe.

Anyone with an Alpine, be it one of the earliest models from the 1950s or even the latest A110, can still register fot he event via the website: www.1000alpine2022.fr 

A PANEL OF RENOWNED GUESTS

Along with Alpine representatives ready to put on an exciting weekend of fun and discovery, the Rédélé family will be joined by figureheads from the brand’s 60-year history: Biche driver and co-driver, Marcel Callewaert, Jacques Cheinisse, Bernard Darniche, Christian Ethuin, Guy Fréquelin, Vincent Lavergne, Michel Leclère, Bob Neyret, Jean-Pierre Nicolas, Alain Serpaggi, Jean Vinatier, Michel Vial, as well as those behind the successs of thebrand-new A110, Jean-Pascal Dauce, Antony Villain, Pierre Sancinéna, and Laurent Hurgon.

AN EVENT BY THE FANS, FOR THE FANS

IDEA (Dieppe-based organisation for Alpine events) was founded to run the event, and brings together other organisations such as the Alpine Alumni Association (AAA), the Dieppe Alpine Club (CAD), and the Dieppe Alpine Factory Club (CAUD).

Alpine will take part in the public celebration with with the presence of the spectacular Alpine A522 (F1) and the presentation of a brand new A110 in a new version, for the many enthusiasts gathered during this weekend.
